 Oaklee got her bath with "the baby".

 Oaklee was so excited to have baby Preston come visit.  We had been prepping her for a few days that she would have a playmate.  Before he even arrived she told me she wanted to blow bubbles and take a bath with the baby.  So of course they did... along with a few beach trips and shave ice. Oaklee was great to share her bed with "the baby" and sleep in her pack-n-play. (Preston is still called "baby" because Oaklee can't quite say his name yet).  Jaime and Nate are friends from BYU days.  But we also were lucky enough to meet up with them a few times in California, one of the times included a sweet beach camping trip.  Maybe one day it can happen again...

Preston loved pushing the wagon and Oaklee loved getting rides.  The gentleman and the lady taking to their roles early on. Worked out perfectly.

So one of the trip highlights was doing the Manta Ray Night Snorkeling.  It is definitely a must do.  The Mantas are huge and we were lucky enough to see a few of them that night.  The way the it works is you wait until dark and then jump into the water, with your crew, and swim holding onto a surfboard with a light underneath it.  Don't worry, we were all easily accounted for with our glow sticks attached to our snorkel masks. :)  In a bay just north of Kona they have a massive light in the ocean floor that attracts the plankton that the Manta Rays come in to feed on.  The light in the ocean floor in addition to the light on the surfboard allow you to see the Mantas as they feed.  A little creepy to be in the ocean and night, but once you get passed that it was well worth it.

Oaklee wants to be with Dad constantly on the weekends. I think we are all happy about that. :)

Here's to all the amazing Mom's, Grandma's, Aunties in our lives!  We LOVE you!  And an endless thank you for all your examples, sacrifice and dedication to teaching us what it means to be a woman.  

To all those who've traded eyeliner for dark circles, salon hair cuts for ponytails, long showers for hairy legs, late nights for early mornings, designer purses for diaper bags, a clean house for finger prints and cluttered floors, music for nursery rhymes ... who love it and wouldn't change a thing!

P-O-P-C-O-R-N

It's been kinda rainy the last few days. We're pretty spoiled and not used to being cooped up inside all day. So to mix things up we popped some corn and watched Elmo, as called by Oaklee "Melmo".  Her new love.   The first word out of her mouth in the mornings is usually "Melmo".

This is my favorite pose.  Oaklee somehow learned when the camera is out to place her hands on her cheeks.  Oaklee saw the camera and before I even said anything she was ready for action.

A Taste of KoKo

So Oaklee has recently assigned herself the nickname of KoKo.  We LOVE it!  She's started singing us songs about "momdaddymomkoko".  We'll do our best to get it on video.  Here's
a little taste of KoKo's personality.  Jonathan's got a lot of good pictures on the other computer.  Next time I'll blog from there. (Here that?... I think that was some sort of commitment to blogging.)



 She just had to play her piano with her giant doll in her lap.  We finally got it to work.

We aRe FaMiLY tOO!

 Visiting Grandma-Great at the hospital.  Grandma-Great volunteers at the hospital and she treated us to lunch after her shift.  This was Oaklee's first time eating olives and she went crazy.  Then Grandma-Great took Oaklee to the gift shop and bought her some silly bands which she still loves to play with. What a fun day with Grandma-Great!!

Oaklee and Grandpa-Great.  Grandma and Grandpa Great had us over for a sleep over and Oaklee had so much fun exploring a new place.  They also babysat her a few times and Oaklee bonded with Grandpa-Great and even fell asleep in his lap.  I think they both had a nap :)

Happy Valentines Day to Oaklee from Grandma!  Oaklee was thrilled to have another present to open.  She loves her Grandma so much and often asks to Skype her.  

Oaklee and my Dad disappeared outside and were quiet for so long.  Deciding to see what mischief these two were up to, I soon discovered Oaklee helping my dad give Roscoe a much needed hair cut.  Roscoe is still recovering.   

Going for a ride on Grandma-Great's Zoomy.  Grandma-Great couldn't wait to take her for a ride and once Oaklee warmed up to the idea she thought it was so fun.  You're a little young for one of those Oaks.

We aRe FaMiLY!

 Oaklee got to stay with the Grams and Gramps while dad and mom went on a Las Vegas getaway.  Lucky girl, she LOVED it!  And she got lots of play time with her aunts and uncles too.

Our Snow Bug

Snow!!  What could be more fun to a toddler?  Maybe only sand (it's warmer:)  Oaklee thought it was great to have a my-size snowman.  She especially loved eating the Hershey Kiss eyes.
